One night as I was reading Matt 21 according to the bible reading plan this year
I came to this verse: 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

Earlier this week, after work I went my way as usual to the bus stop in front of Boustead
and Justin sms to asked if a bus is on the way. I told him I just got there.
Then later he msg me saying I had missed a rapid bus no U46.
I sigh a little but then I replied with hope and a little prayer in my heart

saying 'maybe there's 1 following from the back?'.

Then Justin replied, 'Amen to that'.

True enough, 5 minutes later it came and there were many vacant seats. =)

I replied with a Hallelujah.

At the back of my mind, I remember the verse in Matt 18:
19"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for,
it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.
20
For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

Goes to show the simplicity of believing that comes with abundant blessings which reminds me:

Hebrews 11: 6And without faith it is impossible to please God,
because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists
and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Psalm 6
3 My soul also is greatly troubled;
But You, O LORD—how long?
4 Return, O LORD, deliver me!
Oh, save me for Your mercies’ sake!

Psalm 30
5 For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comes in the morning.

I had been searching for a new job ever since after Christmas. Business was very slow and I had to move on instead of dying in the company. So jobstreet was my only portal and I kept searching for something which matches my resume and click on a few applications. The waiting period was really a trial to my patience and after a while of clicking finally the phone rang. A recruitment company called to ask if I was interested in working for a bank selling and marketing. I rejected it because of the working time that clashes my Sabbaths. So I asked her if she can offer me other jobs. She told me that the company has an opening as a recruiter, so I went for the interview on the 3rd. Turn out to be that she's a sister in Christ, and she kept giving me tips for the opening. Later that day she arranged for another interview with someone with more authority. So after the interview, she said "I will pass your application to the regional manager and if you're the right candidate, we will call you for another interview."

It didn't work out. So the Christian sister helped me arrange for another job interview.

Few days later she found something that matches my background and experience. A MNC, one of the global leader in design and manufacture has an opening for a business development exec. It was on a Tuesday, and I somehow sense that the interview didn't went well when she mention, "If you're the right candidate, we will call you after CNY".

So after struggling for a week or so, finally the breakthrough came.

The next day (Wed) when I was checking my mails and my Jobstreet account, I saw this add by a US based company in Jalan Sultan Ismail which has 8 openings for Customer Service Reps, and they encouraged walk in interviews. So without hesitation and while waiting for the previous interview reply I got ready everything and head out the next day.

Thursday 11/02/2010 - A day of victory.
My brother just got back from S'pore and we went for lunch at Lot 10's new food court. After lunch we parted, and I headed down to Sultan Ismail for that interview. When I got there, the reception treated me very well and escorted me to a conference room and switch on the air cond for me while the other candidates were in another much smaller meeting room. It was as though a legion angels were surrounding me.
The interview went well, and to my delight this time the interviewer asked when can I start work instead of 'if you're the right candidate'.
